Raw papaya halwa

A very simple, healthy and elegant sweet which you can prepare in 30 mins.



Ingredients:
  • Raw papaya (not ripe papaya) - 1
  • Sugar - 1/2 cup
  • Ghee (butter)
  • Milk - 1/2 cup
  • Sweet condensed milk (like Milkmaid) - 3 spoons
Preparation:
  • Wash the raw papaya thoroughly and peel off the skin.
  • Grate it finely.
  • Take a pan and pour ghee. Wait till it melts.
  • Add the grated papaya to the pan and stir for 5 mins.
  • Add sugar and continue to stir for 5 mins.
  • Add milk and stir for 10 mins.
  • Close it with a lid and wait for 5 mins.
  • Now add the condensed milk and ghee and continue to stir for 5 mins.
Papaya halwa is ready now. You can also add a scoop of ice cream to the halwa to get the taste of hot & cold at the same time!

PS: Alternatively you can use carrot instead of papaya to get Carrot Halwa.
